Middle and inside-lined horses rarely show all the beautiful sculpted details that outline-lined horses carry.

The Romantic Side: The most gorgeous side of the merry-go-round. Traditionally, the carousel runs parallel to the central pillar, with one side facing the pillar and the other facing the crowd. In particular, the side of the carousel facing out is usually the most decorative and ornate than the side facing the center of the carousel. Therefore, it is called the "Romantic" side.
